From Tamra's first event at Pondfest in 2011, she jumped in with both feet! We were surprised to learn that her first event was actually the same as Zoey’s, yet when we got more involved in CDD the following year, they were already a well-known team in the club.
Tamra took over the role of Treasurer in 2012 where she served for 4 years. She took a short hiatus from CDD to help out one of our sister clubs for a few years but was still very involved in Chesapeake DockDogs helping with volunteering at events, supporting practices and assisting the club this awesome venue we have here at Maggie Malick Wine Caves (now Dashing Deer Meadow). Through her tenure, she has served on the rules committee three times and judged and announced more waves than anyone can count. Retired from Vice President, Tamra continues her support of the club as a long-time member. Tamra has always helped to make new members feel welcomed, from helping the newbies at practices, providing lists of things that are helpful to new members to bring to practice for it to be a great experience, and she is always there with the knowledge and advice of a seasoned competitor.
At the 2014 World Championships; she created a place for Chesapeake and Tidewater club members to gather in what affectionately became known as the Tidewapeake Suite. While Tamra loves to mingle with everyone, Cash is the opposite. He does not like other dogs being in his space, something we also encounter with Zoey. During the handler meetings, she always made sure that people knew to keep your dog's 8’ apart and definitely away from us. She would say, “If you have a dog who is a jerk, raise your hand! Now keep your dog's away from me and the lady in pink.” Cash has many accolades of his own! Cash has held titles for Speed Retrieve Nitro, EV Cadet, Big Air Master and Iron Dog Titan. His first worlds were in 2012 for Iron Dog Warrior, only one year after his first event. They competed in Warrior again at the 2014 World Championships and as a team, Tamra and Cash have competed at 67 events! Cash entered retirement in 2016 but has been allowed to participate with guest handlers here and there as his health allows. He still shows as much love for jumping as when he first started and is a hero dog through and through.

We have the honor of welcoming an amazing team to the Chesapeake Dockdogs Hall of Fame.
This team has been club members since 2010, after catching the dockdogs bug at Lilyponds in 2009. They have been dedicated to CDD, helping our club grow, raising money, and volunteering to ensure we have amazing events over the years.

The handler of this team is always optimistic and
cheering everyone on.
Together they achieved titles in Master Big Air, Cadet, Extreme Vertical, Turbo Speed Retrieve and Titan Iron-Dog. Together they represented Chesapeake Dockdogs at Worlds, bringing home CDD's first Junior Big Air Championship in 2012. They won many People Choice Awards, including 2-time Best Human Cheerleader, 3-time Best Sportsmanship and
Volunteer of the Year in 2014.

They won statistical awards including 2011 most

For more than 10 years this team has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to being a competitor, an essential supporter and volunteer with Chesapeake Dockdogs. Carlyn has helped the club in so many ways, from volunteering at many events, breaking down and setting up, to gathering in-kind donations, she was instrumental in making Maggie Malick Wine Caves', Chesapeake Dockdogs Home.
As her husband stated in her nomination, "her contribution was transformational".

Carlyn has been there ready to lend a hand, cheer on every team and support the club!
