A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT Welcome to the home of Chesapeake DockDogs! Dogs old and new gather to enjoy the community, competition, splashing, and wagging of what it means to be part of a club like this. Formed in January 2006, Chesapeake DockDogs is the Maryland/D.C/Northern Virginia Affiliate Club of DockDogs® Worldwide. They are the largest presenter of aquatic dog performance sports in the world, with over 30 clubs all over the United States, as well as Canada, Australia, and Italy. Chesapeake DockDogs has members spread throughout Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware, North Carolina, and New Jersey. Chesapeake DockDogs holds an annual indoor event every January, the World of Pets Expo, as well as many annual summer events from May to September. Our practices and competitions are an incredible way to get yourself out there, meet members, try it with your pup, and see what knowledge you can pick up from other people along the way. Whether your dog jumps two feet or sets a world record, we’ll cheer you on! Rumor has it that you can hear CDD competitors cheering from states away. We hold 2 Cook Out / Social practices per year, which is a fun way to get to know your fellow competitors and hang out. Our year end banquet is another chance to swap stories, talk about PB's and accomplishments from that year, and relish in your dog's ranking within the club. Banquets are always held the first Saturday of December as the competition year comes to a close and rankings reset.
